Meet the Camp Counselors

Jason
Tonya
And Junior Counselor Phoebe
Jason Fowler is a children's book author and illustrator. He brings 20 years of experience working with kids as a camp counselor, running his own camps and as a traveling speaker at schools, where he teaches kids about books, creativity and the importance of doing things (an important message in this time of phones, tablets and TVs).
Tonya Fowler has studied and practiced pottery for 28 years, ever since her family opened an art supply store in Clarkesville. Now, she teaches pottery classes almost every day and produces all the pottery sold in their shop. She's also helped run art camps her entire adult life.
Phoebe isn't even in double digits, but she's already following in Mom and Dad's footsteps as an artist and junior camp counselor (she's a huge help). She's also a dancer and gymnast.

What is the Super Kids Creativity Camp?
The Super Kids Creativity Camp was born in 2024 when Jason got an idea in his head that wouldn't shake loose. He wanted to create a camp experience that was different than any other camp around. It had to be hands-on, engaging, highly creative and based around interesting projects.
So, he grabbed science camp in one hand, art camp in the other, slammed them together and Creativity Camp was the result.
In Creativity Camp, our first goal is to create a great atmosphere for kids to have fun. We value creativity and industriousness, which we inject into every project and activity in camp. If we can give your kids a great experience, help them work their creative muscles and foster their ability to work on their own projects, we feel like we've helped them take a step down the road of becoming the best versions of themselves.
What Will We Be Doing?
Our projects are different every year, because we want your kids to come back again and again. Here is our 2025 project list:
-
Baking soda powered rocket
-
Custom hanging chalkboard
-
Battery powered robot
-
Rubber band powered airplane
-
"Robot" hand
-
Origami
-
Various small projects
-
A folder full of creative activities
-
Our unique Noggin' Joggers
The kids usually bring home a project every day.
A quick word about our creative activities and Noggin' Joggers: I bring my work as a children's book illustrator to the camp experience by creating unique, custom Noggin' Joggers for the kids, which is what I call my creative drawing prompts. I create these for camp, so they're a unique part of the experience that kids get to work on every day as they arrive and before they leave. The best part of these activities is that the kids come up with the wildest stuff you could ever imagine. Some of you will be putting these on your refrigerators.
In addition to Noggin' Joggers, we also lead the kids in various creative activities and games that will be put into their folders and sent home at the end of the week.
We also take pictures during the week, which we'll make available to you at the end of camp.
We want your kids to join us for a great week of camp. Use the link below to sign up.
Here's that camp info, again.
